Welcome to the Beach City Writers Conference (BCWC), where writers, educators, and literary enthusiasts come together to celebrate the power of storytelling and the transformative impact of literature. Our conference is a gathering of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of The Community Literature Initiative (CLI), united by a shared passion for words and creativity.

At BCWC, our mission is twofold: to enrich the literary education of our community through engaging lectures, thought-provoking panels, and interactive workshops, and to recognize and celebrate organizations that are actively fostering positive change through literature. We believe in the profound connection between nature and creativity, and our conference explores how the natural world can inspire and enhance our writing.

One of the highlights of BCWC is our annual AuthorDraft, where emerging poets have the opportunity to pitch their work to industry professionals, challenging the current publishing landscape and paving new paths to publication. Through AuthorDraft and other initiatives, we strive to empower writers to share their voices and stories with the world.

Join us at BCWC as we come together to learn, connect, and create. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out on your literary journey, there's something for everyone at the Beach City Writers Conference.
